But, would you watch it again?

I’ve recently started to re-watch/binge Sex & The City and the fashion, relationships, friendships & sex is still inadvertently relatable, relevant and arguably realistic. Obviously, Carrie being a freelance writer in NYC, living in supposedly a rent-controlled studio apartment & still being able to strut around in Manolo’s, hailing cabs is not really a reality most 20 – somethings can relate too.

However, after 20 years since the first episode released, we all still care. Miranda, Carrie, Charlotte & Samantha went through scenarios we all have experienced throughout our 20’s & 30’s. From terrible heartbreaks, broken marriages, babies, sexism in the workplace, bad sex & so much more were part of their lives & we were able to go back as a reference point.

Personally speaking, SATC is more like sci-fi. It’s somewhat a fantasy land for a 25y/o living in Sydney, who’s currently wearing Vans, a Sesame Street Tee & pin stripe pants, when deep down wishes she was eating a cupcake on a NYC bench, in taupe knee high socks, talking to her BFF about her new crush and previous crash in but of course Manolo’s.

I’ve always wondered, what SATC would be like if Carrie, Miranda, Samantha & Charlotte were four brown girl living is Sydney?
