Being a child of 90s, it’s welcoming to see trends once worn to school dances or to a movie day with your friends, coming back tie dye & all. Be it bucket hats, hair clips, halter tops, bike shorts or baguette bags, I’m loving how brands are re-inventing much loved silhouettes towards todays millennials.
It was the era where “Nice top & jeans” were the unofficial-official “going out” outfit & low-rise jeans (I hope never returns), a spaghetti strap “nice” top with a side of midriff was the stylish outcome. I fondly remember rocking a baby pink halter top with a sequin butterfly , low rise flare, frayed at the hem jeans & a white belt, to the MOVIES! I was the bootleg version of Summer from The O.C.
In my world today, low-rise jeans are distant memory, replaced with high-wasted pants but the baguette bags & halter tops never left.
