Winter in Australia is getting into bed at 7PM and seeing no issues in the early bedtime. Working a nine to five and surviving shorter days is a tough feat and can have anyone spiral into a monotonous routine of the Ws – wake, workout, work. To beat the hum-drum of everyday routine, I would like to introduce The Monthly Menu, where I recap the month that was and tell you, the reader my favourite tidbits, books, podcasts, snacks and everything in between.

Perveen Mistry series by Sujata Massey
I am a self proclaimed home body and with the perfect book I refuse to leave the house expect for work, pilates, grocery shopping and buying over priced coffee. If you’re a lover of mystery and like myself are trying to read more author of Indian origin, I assure you, diving into the world of Perveen Mistry will having you craving Parsi delicacy and pastries. Perveen is the only female lawyer in Pre-independent Bombay and while assigned to a cae she is caught up in a messy murder. Not only is Perveen’s character empathetic, educated and independent, she is relatable. Like every woman navigating family, friends, work and relationships, Perveen is a breath of fresh air. Might I add she is dressed impeccably. Sujata Massey shares a glimpse of Pre-Independent Bombay and inside the historically accurate Parsi community, you are transported to a time in history.

I’m currently going through a jewellery phase and all I want to buy are dainty hoops, gold bangles, chunky necklaces and ring stacks.
I recently discovered Palmonas, a brand from India and they have a huge range from dainty hoops to oversize earrings. Plus anything with hearts and bows are my weakness.

Stack of bracelets from Misho. Fun Fact: My nose ring for my wedding was from Misho.

I’ve been a huge fan of S-kin Jewellery hoops. Based in Melbourne they have the best hoops and studs for everyday wear. The new collection landed in my inbox this morning and I can’t stop thinking about the watch ring which also comes in hoops!

Butter Yellow. Anything with butter in it makes it a winner in my eyes and on my sandwiches.

On my forever manifestation list – The Mini Dress

When I came across the work of Alison Friend on Instagram, I knew I needed a piece of her work. There’s something about the eyes that have a hint of mischief and secrecy! Definitely a crowd favourite and has found a new home in my kitchen!

Does anyone else have a favourite mug? A mug too delicious where coffee taste sweeter. While I do consider myself a self proclaimed mug connoisseur, my current coffee cup is this tomato set I picked up from the Reject Shop. How a cup can make my morning instantly better is a situation I ought to be in more often.

New York Cheesecake Gelato. Thats it. I need it hooked up in an IV.
Also, this is marriage kids.

Thank you for reading! Wishing you a happy August!
