September kicked off with a four-day trip to Adelaide for a wedding. Afterward, we visited markets, a jam farm, and a German town. I found a thrifted tea pot, pomegranate lotion, and gingerbread tea. Back at home, the warm weather was welcomed by more farmers markets, evening walks, masala chai and lots of books. September is a month for change. As the weather and time move ahead, it’s an opportunity to recalibrate goals. It is also a chance to adjust habits and hobbies.
Okay, here’s my September round up:

A Good Indian Girl
I listened to this book on Audio after my mum sent a TikTok summarising it as an Indian version of Eat, Pray, Love. A light yet insightful read with themes of infertility, loss, divorce, courage and finding your true arc in life. The protagonist is Jyoti. She takes you on a sweet, spicy, and wholesome journey. She is finding her true self all while relishing in bowls of pasta in Italy.
The Pumpkin Spice Cafe:
Another TikTok recommendation, I listened to this book while at work. If you love Gilmore Girls and enjoy a small town romance, this book is for you. It features a farmer and a city girl. Cosy up with a tea and blanket for a wholesome read on a rainy afternoon.
My current reads are A Court of Thorns & Roses and The Third Gilmore by Kelly Bishop

At the markets in Adelaide i picked up Gingerbread tea. Christmas in a cup.

Collagen overnight mask: I may be late to the party. However, I tried the viral overnight collagen mask. All I can say is 10/10. I couldn’t recommend the sheet mask enough and recommend to use it before an event. You will wake up with hydrated, glowing skin.
Pomegranate cream: A delicious all natural body creme with the most beautiful fragrance oils. Lathers on like butter and the pomegranate fragrance will linger till the next day. You can buy it online here.

I accepted my constant need to wear more kurtas in my daily life. I found the prettiest and most versatile kurtas and sets from House Of Chikankari. Shop all kurtas here. I often feel self-conscious wearing a kurta, especially to work. However, the confidence boost I feel outweighs any form of self-consciousness.

I enjoyed watching Call Me Bae on Prime. It is a show about a spoilt girl who is cut off from her luxurious lifestyle. She moves to Mumbai and creates her own path. Don’t miss her quirky outfits, scrumptious bags and the use of scarves in every scene. Think Emily In Paris x Sex And the City x Aisha.

Walking through an antique shop in a small German town, I found a gem. I picked up this beauty for $25 and nothing made me happier. When I got back to Sydney, I dug a little deeper and found the origin of my beloved piece. The teapot is from Watcombe Pottery, a company in Torquay England that produced a variety of pottery for 100 years! Known for their quotes etched into the pottery.

Flowers: I picked up Poppies from a local farmers market. For a week straight, my husband and I would marvel at the poppies blooming every morning. The perfect bunch.
I’m looking forward to October. With Navratri currently on and Diwali around the corner, it’s the perfect time to be present. I relish in the warmer weather and plan to spend the next three months working on my goals. In the mean time, I’m pulling out my Diwali decorations and stocking up on Christmas decor.

Until Next time…
